Iven's on the Bay was well known for the birthdays, anniversaries, marriage proposals, and wedding receptions celebrated there for more than 21 years. But in 2006 a tragic fire destroyed the business the night before Valentine’s Day, one of the restaurant’s busiest days.
Fast-track design/build to meet a seasonal schedule.
Though they could survive a missed Valentine's Day, Iven's needed to reopen by mid-August to take advantage of fall’s business surge. To speed things up, we expanded our traditional project team to include subcontractors, vendors, and the owners themselves. Weekly meetings became daily meetings, and the owners made themselves available to make critical decisions quickly. Clear, efficient, and timely communication made the difference.

Not only did we meet our target date, but we were able to create a beautiful, warm space to usher this iconic restaurant into the 21st century. An elegant, contemporary space featuring rich wood and modern finishes, it is the perfect stage for family celebrations big and small.
